Lifetime Health Australia Celebrates First Export to Myanmar, Thanks to New International Trade Conditions

Lifetime Health Australia, a leader in Australian bee health supplements, was first approached by Bee Health Myanmar Co. Ltd., shortly after Australian trade sanctions to Myanmar were removed in July 2012.

After almost one year of negotiation and planning, a product - Natural Life™ Propolis Liquid - has been developed, produced and delivered for the growing South-East Asian nation.

The transaction is a significant achievement for a small business such as Lifetime Health Australia, as Myanmar remains a relatively high-risk place to do business.

Endorsement from AUSTRADE assisted the transaction between Lifetime Health Australia and Bee Health Myanmar Co. Ltd.

Lifetime Health Director, Antony Adare said: “Despite the FTA, there is still a level of risk involved in export to Myanmar, but AUSTRADE approved and validated our client, so we were confident to proceed.”

While political and social reforms continue in Myanmar, Australia has committed to development and infrastructure support and is facilitating trade between the two countries.

This commitment has enabled Lifetime Health Australia and Bee Health Myanmar Co. Ltd to engage in a thus far successful business relationship, and one that is promising to both small businesses.

The Myanmar firm are pro-active in promoting Lifetime Health Australia’s Natural Life™ Propolis products, while Lifetime Health Australia is excited to nurture and explore this new export opportunity.

This first export to Myanmar for Lifetime Health Australia represents an exciting stepping stone toward further trade opportunities as relations between Australia and Myanmar continue to flourish.
