Foreign investment in Myanmar reaches 42.9 billion US dollars in 2013's first half 2013-08-09
According to the Directorate of Investment and Companies Administration (DICA), Myanmar's foreign direct investments reached 42.9 billion US dollars as of June 30th this year. The companies from China, Thailand, Britain, Singapore and India invested in production and hotel industries. The international firms used to invest in major business fields such as oil and gas, mining and electric power in previous fiscal years. At present, they are running in production and garment industry.
