FMI Trading Center Business Description
Along with the development of the economy and the increasing demand of market place for trading of stocks and securities, SPA pioneered in 2006 to introduce a systematic stocks and securities trading with a unique board-trading system based on international trading practices and compatible to the local market. The place now widely known as FMI Trading Centre (FTC) is located in a major commercial area of Yangon city.
After a series of simulation and system adjustment over months and months of preparation, the first trading day started in 1st March, 2006, with FMI shares. The trading in FTC is carried out by the registered brokers on the trading board where the brokers take the order and act accordingly with the instruction from their customers. During and after the trading, FTC monitors and controls the trading process, contracting and settlement to safeguard the customers’ interest as well as to penalize any market mal-practice.
With the streamlining of the trading process, FTC will be expanding to trade other public companies shares as well as other stocks and securities.
