French President Francois Hollande offers assistance to Myanmar's health and education 2013-08-09
President U Thein Sein left France Thursday, after meeting with French top officials, including President Francois Hollande. It was President U Thein Sein's first state visit to France, in a bid to strengthen ties and promote economic relations among European nations. The French leader urged President U Thein Sein to continue the process of political transition and to deepen economic reforms, which started two years ago. President Hollande also said that France is ready to help in the development of Myanmar's education and health sectors.
